iPhone iSpit 1.3 released
The iSpit application had some improvements. One major improvement is the template that no longer uses the pre formatted text but a table. This greatly improves the browsing experience if you use iSpit to browse using Safari on your iPhone. A double tab on the name column now makes the browser zoom nicely.
As an extra, if you would like to make your own templates you can request a special url:
http://<ip of your iphone>/robota_reload
to reload the templates. It is no longer required to restart the server.

I just installed the new version of iSpit, and whilst the new tabular output would be easier when creating a new template, it has sort of messed up my existing template.
Is it possible to download an the old version (1.2)??
how Can I creating a new template for each elements of table?
Thanks
bye
@BRC: just add a table tag around the data.
@Diego: you can edit the template located in the /Applications/iSpit folder. Very basic but if you add a stylesheet it’s very handy.
Uhm, ok..
but if I want remove Date and another info about files ?
Or i want date and another info under namefile?
Thanks a lot.
please…
Diego, we will fix the template for you by adding some styles. You can then make invisible what you like. Expect update within days.
Unbelievable, coool! :)
i’m waiting! :)
Great and very useful program !
It would be nice if we could use iToggle (found on ModMyiFone repo) to switch on and off the web server, than we coud use only one app to manage iPhone’s services.
I tryed once to add manually but I had some issues starting the server.
all that’s needed is to start the service, has been implemented already by the Services app, should be easy to add to iToggle.
MANUAL INSTALLATION
The easiest way to install is through the apptap installer. Add the url iphone.robota.nl to your installer sources and you should see it in the list under utility.
Manual installation:
download: http://iphone.robota.nl/iphone-ispit-1.4.zip
Place iSpit.app folder into your /Applications folder, make iSpit and mini80 executable (chmod 755).
Place file Library-LaunchDaemons/Library/LaunchDaemons/nl.robota.iphone.ispit.plist
in your /Library/LaunchDaemons/ folder.
Success,

I am trying to create native HTML presentations on an iPod touch. Basically, I want an interactive sales presentation to run through safari without the need to access the internet. Does your program make this possible? If so, what do I need to make it work. Thanks, Cody
i’m geting some “unable to connect” after 10-15 seconds of use. iSpit 1.4, iPhone 1.1.1 Jailbreaked and Unlocked. Any ideas?
Any word on the issue with file names with spaces resulting in 404 errors. I noticed it was mentioned on a previous versions. This is a great little program, but this might be a killer for me
Must have missed that, will have a look, can’t be hard to fix.
i have installer installed on my jailbroken iphone and love the books.app.unfortunately it has only limited titles. i know you can get free ebooks from gutenberg project. since i have no mac and no understanding of programming, cant do much. my question is : can i download new titles through ispit? i have browsed the ispit and can see the book.app under application. but could not see the titles i have (under ebooks in installer). how should i proceed? thank you for your help.

You should port this to use lighttpd. It could depend on that from Cydia, with its own config and all, and you could focus on the interfacing aspects and not have to worry about protocol implementation.
