iPhone AcceleroLog 1.1 released
We had a couple of dozen emails from people asking to publish the full version of the AcceleroLog application. Well, here it is. We do expect you to donate.
AcceleroLog will now save your results to disk for further analysis.

i was woundering how hard it would be for you go make it read G’s?
if i was able to use this program as a G-meter and log each run into a different txt it would be very handy for the car racing i do. please email me if you plan on implamenting something like this. thanks
If enough donations come in we will make a version dedicated to car tuning.
would you be able to make the accelerometer accurately read G’s?
kinda like this one for the wii

because if so i would be willing to donate
Great tool, just wondering what units the current version uses?
fantastic app.
would you be willing to release the source code for hooking into the accelerometer and adjusting the sample rate?
I’m also very interested in an application that can measure G-Forces. I would donate for sure if a working version came out.
What exactly are the units of measure in the current version?

how do u view saved files
Install iSpit and browse to the directory where the file is saved (/var/root)
Is there a different version available to those who donate? At least with the popups gone?
Hi,
Thanks for this innovative application. I have a question. In the settings page, I make “on” the “log to file”, then click “record” button, then click “save” button. When I check the path \var\root, there is no log file. Is it beacuse of the free version or anything else?
Can you change the time stamp format within the saved file? right now excel is unable to process the colons, it needs a period for the milliseconds.
Or if you know of a way of doing it another way let me know.

I would like to install this on an iPhone 3G. Are you thinking of releasing it thru the app store? Sorry for the questions, but I’m a bit of a noob, and I’m not sure about jailbreaking the phone (I have a PC, not a Mac). Thanks!
Why not release this on the itunes app store? You’d make a pcket and fund further work!?

Hi,
Using Accelerolog I appear to be able to save a log file and can later view the txt file and all the data. However, if I record a second log file with a different name the data gets deleted from the original txt file.
Can anyone explain why this is happening? and if there is any way I can get some data back from a previously saved txt file (ie is there a temp directory that may still contain some log data)?
Many thanks

Any chance getting this on iPhone firmware 2?
FYI, using iSpit, I found the log in this directory on my iPod Touch:
/var/mobile/
What exactly do the readings mean? Is it measuring acceleration? If so, does anyone know how to convert the readings to acceleration units (ie., ft/sec)?
Every time I start my iPod Touch, it tells me to update the app, regardless whether the current version is 1.1 or 1.2.
Even cursory documentation would be appreciated, and I would certainly donate if you would do so.
Thank you.
