iGo, Chess and AcceleroLog for iPhone compatible 1.1.4
The chess, go and accelerometer log applications are updated to work fine with all firmware versions available.
All files are saved in the user directory. This directory depends on your firmware version and the jailbreak you used but should be /var/mobile or /var/root.
If you have problems please let us know. Great thanks to all that donated.
still no saving for chess 1.7 on 1.1.4
I would love to see an updated version of ScreenShot for 1.1.4. This is one of our must-have applications and it’s surely missed for all iPhone enthousiast blogs.

Some comments and questions :
1/Would you be able to put the stars on the go board ? It would be helpful to locate us on the board, especially when we use the zoom.
2/If we donate, is it possible to have the message asking for donation at the end of the game removed ?
3/It is written on the website : “Place SGF files in the /var/root/Media/iGoSGF folder. If you don’t have /var/root/Media/iGoSGF place it in /var/mobile/Media/iGoSGF directory.” . I do not know how to access this directory. Could anyone help me ?
4/ Would it be possible to have a short tutorial for how to use the software and/or a FAQ section ?
5/What are the sgf files that come with the software about ?
6/In the settings, what does “depth” mean ?
7/Would it be possible to see marked stones at the end of the game and what the iphone consider as dead stones ? just like in kgs for example ?

A little request for iGo if possible :) It is hard to play on the big board and even with zoom it is not easy to find a place for a stone. It would be nice to have a coordinate system like in chess (and this is often used for Go programs on PC). So that we would locate desired position for a stone and on zoom it would be easy to pan to that position. Thanks a lot for nice apps!

How do I install the PGN book for Chess?
I think I installed the book, so ignore last comment.
However it can’t seem to save on exit. Starting the app as root enables save-on-exit. What did I do wrong. I am on a jailbroken 1.1.4.
save feature under 1.1.4 does not work

Just installed chess 1.7 -
Found 1.6 very buggy.
However, although uninstalled, 1.6 continues to appear as an available Update. How do I stop this? As I now have 1.7 installed 1.6 should stop telling me it is available.

I’ve install the accelerolog onto my itouch. I can’t find how to retrieve the log file is there another application I need like a “file manager”

Using Accelerolog I appear to be able to save a log file and can later view the txt file and all the data. However, if I record a second log file with a different name the data gets deleted from the original txt file.
Can anyone explain why this is happening? and if there is any way I can get some data back from a previously saved txt file (ie is there a temp directory)?

thanks for acelerometer. Maybe will be possible to get aceleration units, like m/s^2. Also will be very funy and usefull a sismic sensor in richter scale. Im going to donate now.

1) Will this work on 3G with 2.0.1 firmware ?
2) Is there a way to figure out g-force from the files ?

I have a problem uploading the acceleroLog to my pwned iphone, I put the downloaded app file to the /Application, and it shows up at the board but after I click the icon, it just launched and them shutdown, does anyone know how to fix it? thanks a lot!
I am completely willing to donate up to an over the cost of the only other comparable(but not sufficient) sw,(SignalScope - $25) - but I can’t even get Accelerolog to install on my 2.2 jlbkn iphone… Please help by at least posting some detailed instructions on how to install accelerolog on more recent iphone revs. If this is not possible, please give us an idea of when a newer version will be available.

I have put iGo.app to /Application and chmod of iGo and gnugo to executable.
And also put iGo.SGF to /var/Mobile.
But it doesn’t shown iGo application on my iphone main screen. Please suggest how should I do.
